How can we be good neighbors and stewards to our feathered friends? In this educational presentation by Elise Wolf of Native Bird Care, we’ll enjoy a peek into the lives of the extraordinary birds that call our yards home while learning simple tips on creating a fantastic backyard sanctuary. Elise will share charming stories, beautiful pictures and videos, and give species insights for some of our flighted friends. She will also offer specific ways to be an outstanding bird steward. Elise is a dynamic and entertaining speaker whose enthusiasm for birds is infectious.

Elise will share with us several of her favorite books about birds that she recommends for people wanting to expand their knowledge about these fascinating creatures.

Presenter Bio

Elise Wolf is the director and the professional rehabilitator for Native Bird Care, an avian rescue center in Sisters. Elise began advocating for nature and wildlife over 30 years ago. She founded Native Bird Care 13 years ago and specializes in song, shore, and waterbirds. She writes an occasional column on birds in the Nugget News and The Source, as well as on her blog and Facebook page.
