This very important introductory talk will focus on two primary goals:
1) to increase the awareness that recreationists DO have impacts on wildlife and wildlife habitat, and some of that is positive, but it can be very negative. We will learn how to reduce impact and help wildlife thrive on public forests and wildlands.
2) to increase the understanding that public land managers and recreationists can minimize or eliminate the negative impacts and how communities make this happen.
About our speaker:
Anna Miller is a postdoctoral research fellow, USDA, Forest Service and Pacific Northwest Researcher, currently Asst. Director of Research and Operations, Institute of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism., Utah State University.
Zoom begins at 6 pm. Free to attend.
