About Tall Annie: A Life In Two Genders:

Author Anne Graham lived the first 46 years of her life in a male role, hiding a life-long sense of being in the wrong gender. Her autobiography shares the repression that was necessary to survive back then and finally the joy of becoming the person she had been denied in 1996.  It is a story of a carefully managed transition bounded on both sides by a high level of contribution to society in both genders.  Anne hopes that sharing the real lived experience of her life in this book will help dispel some of the misinformation around a life such as hers.

Author bio:

Anne Graham had a professional career in both genders in the semiconductor and solar industries and successfully transitioned her gender in mid-life while in a senior role for a major corporation. She has been a U.S. Navy nuclear-trained submariner, Vietnam Veteran, Facilities Engineer, Director of Facilities, semiconductor factory designer, and a local politician with attendant international experiences including two years living in China.

She and her husband of 20 years moved to central Oregon upon her retirement 12 years ago.  She has been a constant volunteer in the City of Redmond including as an elected City Councilor.  In the larger County, she is a County Election Board Member, a Big Sister, a life member of the VFW, a Kiwanian, and more.  She was moved recently to write her autobiography in the hope that her story can educate and help combat the recent demonization and criminalization of transgender lives.
